The way5000 is a new generation of WAY’s small, portable, wireless transaction processing terminals. The way5000 integrates technologies that open an endless number of possibilities. The way5000 is programmable, runs multi applications and can download new applications or update over-the-air (OTA). In addition to WAY’s standard credit and debit card applications, the way5000 will allow for 3rd party development of a variety of other payment and non-payment services such as check, gift and loyalty.

Security
The way5000 encrypts the card data as soon as it is read or swiped so the merchant will never have access to the card data. The card data is also encrypted before it is sent from the mobile phone over the GSM network.
