Apriva Completes Third EMV Certification with Globalcom’s BV1000

Company Expands EMV Certification Offerings in Unattended Markets

Scottsdale, Ariz., April 24, 2017— Apriva, a leading provider of omnichannel payment solutions and secure mobile communications, announced today that it has completed an additional EMV certification with Globalcom Engineering’s BV1000 device connecting through the Apriva gateway to Elavon’s processing platform. This third EMV certification with Globalcom’s ruggedized device brings vendors more secure payment options for their customers in unattended retail environments—such as self-service parking and car wash solutions—and provides another EMV processor option for Apriva’s large network of resellers.

This latest certification spans all major card brands including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, enabling the use of EMV chip card technology. The Globalcom BV1000 units are built for outdoor use and can withstand extreme weather conditions. Due to their durable nature, the hardware in this unattended solution is frequently used at self-service payment stations in parking garages and car washes around the United States.

“Apriva continues to build on our partnerships with Globalcom Engineering and our processor partners with two EMV certifications in less than two months,” said Stacey Finley Tappin, senior vice president of sales and marketing communications at Apriva. “We are proud to deliver more choices and greater security to unattended vendors and their customers across the country.”

Apriva's Integration Services Program allows independent software vendors (ISVs), and mobile and embedded developers, to easily implement credit, debit, EBT, loyalty and closed-loop payment processing—including multiple campus card systems—into their solutions. Once integrated, applications and POS solutions can communicate with the Apriva gateway over a wired or wireless network. Apriva maintains relationships with more than 30 payment processors in North America, along with all of the leading wireless carriers, and currently works with more than 1,100 merchant acquirers and ISOs across the United States and Canada, giving merchants and partners the choice to deploy end-to-end solutions best fit for their business.
